On December 10, 1987, Dr. Charles Graham, DVM, bought out Harrell Cattle Company, which at that time had approximately 750 head of cattle in the feedlot, on about 700 acres. Since that time, Graham Land & Cattle has broadened its boundaries with now 30,000+ head of cattle and over 4,000 acres. The Graham Land & Cattle Company is meticulously kept by Jay Gray, General Manager, a Texas A&M graduate, Maurice Janda, Feedyard Manager, and Cody Fry, Financial Manager. They offer retained ownership planning, available growing programs, feed financing, consulting nutritionist, customized health programs and an ideal year-round climate for the cattle. Graham Land & Cattle Company is a licensed feedyard for the Nolan Ryan Tender Aged Beef (NRTAB) program. All cattle are tagged with bar coded ear tags that follow the calves from inception into the feedyard to slaughter at the packing plant Adjacent to Graham Land & Cattle, Dr. Graham owns Sunset Livestock Carrier’s, Inc., which is operated by Pete Peterman. Sunset Livestock Carrier’s offers prompt and efficient trucking service with clean, modern equipped trucks and trailers which are permitted for most cattle states and at most border points.
